This Thanksgiving, we have to give a huge shout out to support our local small business community. We of course would not be here without our small business clients and partners. Wrecognize the importance of these ventures in improving our community and supporting us.

Small businesses are vital to communities around the country. According to the U.S. Small Business Administration’s 2020 FAQsmall businesses are responsible for nearly two-thirds of net new job creation since 2000. We also know from collaborative work with e2 Entrepreneurial Ecosystems that local entrepreneurs are more invested in developing and improving their communities than other larger companies (see e2’s thought paper “Why Entrepreneurship? Making the Case for Entrepreneurship”).

How We Support Small Business

From a business perspective, we support small businesses in their business strategies surrounding real estate decisions. We are also customers of other local businesses, such as:

We also use a number of local contractors for various property services, matching the services of these local vendors for our clients’ needs.

Wondering How You Can Support Small Business?

We invite you to consider local options for the goods and services your business needs. Also consider supporting the Power of 1% Pledge from the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, asking businesses to see how they can increase their local spending by just one additional percent. On a personal note, if you need some ideas for holiday gifts, check out this shop local guide from Strictly Business Magazine or consider supporting one of the many human service organizations that are members of Cause Collective. We hope you join us on the journey to support our fellow entrepreneurs and grow a more vibrant community.
